M2 - Legal and Ethical Issues:
Legal Issues:
One legal issue is copyright, this is important to consider as if I use images, music, logos or text that I don’t own I could be breaking copyright laws. In my website I must use original content and content that I have had permission to use as well as copyright free material if I don't do this is could lead to the website being taken down or being sued.
Another legal issue is the data protection act this is the protection of peoples personal data on the website such as names, emails and login details. All personal data should only be kept if necessary and kept in a secure and private place, in order to ensure no data is shared without consent as that could result in fines and complaints.
Ethical Issues:
One ethical issue is avoiding harmful or offensive content the website must not include hate speech, discrimination, stereotypes or violence as this would be distressing for the viewers. Unethical content could damage the website’s reputation and loose audiences. To resolve this I would review all content for harmful content before it goes on the website.
Another ethical issue is honest and accurate information, this means the website should not mislead users for example it should not include fake news or advertising, exaggerating facts or fake reviews as this looses the ethics of the company and gives them an untrustworthy reputation. To resolve this I will review all content to make sure there is no false information on my website.
Another ethical issue is respecting audience privacy, as a website they must avoid tracking users without consent as well as not manipulating them or secretly selling their data as this would go against user protection and would give a bad reputation for the website and the brand. To resolve this I will ensure all data is safe and secured and only a few trusted people have access to it.
Distinction:
This is my homepage, within my home page I will have a main image within this image it will contain a picture of planets in orbit in space this perfectly links to the genre of both the comic and the movie trailer Bionic attack. It will also include a logo this is typical and fits with industry standards as a logo is needed so the view knows the owner and is correctly labelled and identified. Therefore in the top left corner it says the company of MegaMovie. I will also include the colour scheme within the images and the fonts of colours such as purple, blue and dark colours of grey this links to the space genre and theme. Within the top of my page it has tabs this will be seen throughout as it helps users to easily navigate throughout the whole website when you are on the certain tab it will be highlighted so the viewer can understand where they are and not be confused. Another interactive element is social media links at the bottom of the page these pages allow for smooth transition between the website and social media. There is also a link to a gmail to get into touch with the makers of the movie Bionic attack this allows for communication between viewers and the producers such as MegaMovie, this allows for good audience feedback as well.
This is the second page, within this page it contains the trailer of the movie Bionic Attack, this page is fully focused on the movie trailer itself. This is a link of interactivity as the trailer is clickable and takes the viewer straight to the trailer with ease, this helps to satisfy the viewer and keep them entertained. The colour scheme is also kept without as well as the same coloured tabs and font will be the same throughout this allows the magazine to be appealing and aesthetic as well as keeping within the theme of the genre. Above the link to the trailer there is a brief introduction to watching the trailer this helps to entice the audience and make the trailer seem appealing. This fits within industry standards as there is icons as well as the hyperlink of the trailer.
The next page focuses on the scriptwriters of the movie bionic attack, this website follows straight after the movie trailer tab this allows for fluidity and easily appealing navigation of the website. This easy navigation allows for my website to meet within the industry standards as its follows the same pattern as high quality websites. On this page I will include two pictures, these will be clear and high quality images of the script writers as well as their names, this will help viewers to have a deeper understanding of the movie it is providing viewers with background information.
Underneath the images there will be description, the description will be in detail and will include how they made the movie which excites and appeals to the viewers. The background will be consistent throughout and will be planets with stars which fit within the colour scheme this shows clear links and consistency and fits within the industries standards.
The next page focuses on the actors of the movie of Bionic Attack, this website follows a pattern therefore all the tabs link within the content this allows for my website to flow nicely and make it easy for the view to understand the navigation and layout. Each actor will have their own picture this allows the company to promote their actors and giving them exposure this links to industry standards. Next to all of the pictures of the actors there will be text boxes this will incorporate information about the actors, as well as their role in the film and a little bit about them this gives viewers inside information which will excite and appeals to to the viewers. At the top of the page the tab will be highlighted which says actors this will allow the viewers clear understanding of the current page they are on also underneath there will be a tile of the page to further the clear page layout, this will help the viewers to understand and make the website appealing.
This page focuses on the comic, this comic will be a large link and image on the page which allows the document to be the main focus. The comic is an interactive element as it allows you to download the comic for free onto your device as a pdf this interactive element links to industry standards as I’m using interactive elements that would be seen on most web pages. The comic follows the same colour scheme as the trailer and as a result not only conforms to all the other web pages but also conforms to the sci-fi genre. In the left corner of this web page there is a text boxes which has a synopsis of the comic itself this allows viewers to have a brief and detailed understanding of the comic before they download it this helps to entice the viewers to download the comic as well as making it appealing for the readers. There will be a clear heading in the middle of the page this will allow for clear understanding as well as this to further the clear navigation of my web pages the tab comic will be highlighted so that the viewers can clearly see what web pages they are on.
This page will focuses on the merchandise, this is merchandise from the movie bionic attack this meets industry standards as it allows the viewers to not only look at pages of information but also allows them to purchase merchandise from the movie as well. This will excite and appeal to the audience as it allows them to have more interactive elements, one interactive element will be the option to add to cart as they will be able to purchase items on this page this will then add a number to the shopping icon in the right corner and then they can go onto other pages while safely having their items in their basket. The page will contain images of the merchandise this will appeal to the viewers as they will be able to see what they are going to buy as well as that the images will convince viewers to purchase. There will also be a brief description of each of the merchandise this will fit within industry standards as a description is need to make sure the viewers understand the product.

Justifications:
One way my planned product is suitable for the range of media content is due to the use of images, In my background I will be using images of planets and stars this will help to link to the genre of both the movie and the comic as they are both sci-fi based and it will make the web page appealing for viewers. I will also be using images of the actors, scriptwriter and of the merchandise this will be suitable as the images will be high quality and will help to make the webpage appealing while making it easy to understand for the viewer. Another way my planned product is suitable for the range of media content is due to the use of design features, I will be using a GUI of a shopping basket this GUI will be present on every web page this allows for the viewers to add merchandise to their basket while still navigating through the web page as well as this when there is a product in there basket it will have a number on the basket to help them know how many items they have. Another reason why my planned product is suitable for the range of media content is interactive element as there are hyper links to the comic and movie trailer as well as social media links too. There will also be tabs at the top of all the web pages and the page that they are on will be highlighted this makes the web page suitable as it allows for easy navigation for the viewers as well as making the website more appealing.
Strengths:
One strength of my website is all of the interactive elements, one element I have within my web page is the GUI this is a clickable icon which allows you to purchase items, the icon is a shopping cart and when users add merchandise to their cart a number will appear to help them identify how many products are in their basket. Another interactive element within my web pages is the comic this interactive feature allows viewers to download the comic onto the pdf file. These elements of interactivity help to make the webpage more immersive for the viewers which is mire appealing. Another strength is the colour scheme it will be darker colours of navy, purple and greys this will link to the sci-fi planet theme. Another strength of my website is page is the merchandise this feature allows viewers to buy products that are from the movie bionic attack this helps to excite and engage viewers further. This helps to show brand identity of bionic attack made by mega movie for the merchandise, scriptwriter, actors and the trailer.
Limitations:
One limitation of my web page could be readability, this could be and issue due to font choice and colour scheme as depending on the font choice is could be hard for the viewer to read or understand and as a result discourage viewers from reading the content on my webpage, as well as this the choice of colour could make my webpage clash and be hard to understand and not be aesthetic or appealing for the viewers and as a result turn away viewers. Another limitation is optimisation issues, as I need to make sure that my web page is able to be resized to be used on devices such as laptop, iPad, phone and even tv screens as a result I need to consider how sizing of images need to be changed in order to fit each device size. I also need to consider download sizes on devices such as laptops, iPads and phones as I need to make sure my comic is able to be downloaded without taking up too much space of being too big of a file to be able to be downloaded. Another limitation would be accessibility as when people are offline they wont be able to access my website without Wi-Fi and as a result it is not easily accessible on the go. Another limitation is that there isn’t a size chart for the merchandise this could discourage viewers from purchasing as they wont know what size product to purchase.
